
On Saturday, I jumped in and dyed my wool.
Just as reminder, here’s what it looked like originally along with my dye tests:

Chase helped me fill up one of our big bins with hot water.

Then we took it outside for the actual dyeing:

And then we went to see X-Men, which I enjoyed very much.
Yesterday, I jumped right in. Started on a mock-up of my jacket, and nearly finished my skirt:

The skirt was NOT fitting or hanging well at all, and most of that was due to the lining. I took the lining out and it looked great. I ended up cutting the lining in half and still attaching it at the top, so it’s functioning as a slip, sort of. It just needs a zipper.
Tonight, more messing with my jacket mock-up. My pattern has princess seams which I need to edit out and replace with a dart. I forgot to take a picture of it last night, so I’ll take one tonight.
